Bonab Steel Industry Complex was established in 2004 (1383 H-Sh) on a 132-hectare site in the Bonab Industrial Zone, East Azerbaijan Province, with comprehensive infrastructure including access to major roads, rail lines, a power plant, gas and water supply networks.
The complex operates two steel melting units—an electric arc furnace and induction furnaces—with an annual casting capacity of 450,000 tons of various steel and alloy billets, and six hot rolling mills with a total annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of steel long products, including ribbed rebar in various sizes under the “Shahin” brand, I‑beams, angles, channels, and alloy wire rods.
With direct employment of over 2,000 personnel, Bonab Sanat Steel Complex is recognized as the largest private-sector steel producer in the country. Its high-quality products and export capabilities make the complex a leading example of export-oriented industrial production in Iran.
